HR compliance is the act of getting your business aligned with local, state and Federal laws applicable to your business. Some examples of compliance would be: paying your employees according to Federal and State Wage and Hour laws – ensuring each position is aligned to the correct exemptions to the best of your knowledge; ensuring every employee hired has a Form I-9 on file and filled out accurately; and ensuring your business adheres to anti-discrimination laws like Title VII, Americans with Disability Act and Age Discrimination in Employment Act.
